BANDS IM INTO RIGHT NOW...

Posted 10/9/2009 12:00:00 AM
So - What it do?! I haven't blogged on the personal page lately because I have just been swamped with keeping up with the Woody and Rizzuto blog and Podcast.  Thanks to you guys - our Blog and Podcast page are the two most viewed pages on the entire website!  You guys make my job fun by commenting on the different things we talk about so I thank you so much!

First off a hilarious video that I made in college.  It's ridiculous!

I figured that since it's been awhile I just want to give you some bands that I am into and have really dug lately.  Also - if it IS a popular band - I want to give you a taste of a song that you may not have heard from them. Maybe an album track or two.  Something a little different.

So without further ...

Wrap Up & Cookie Duster

Posted 7/30/2009 4:47:00 PM
The week is quickly wrapping up! Believe it or not, now that I am working with Woody & Riz the week just flys by!

If you aren't tuning in your def. should!  The show is hilarious.  I literally sit in the phone screener room and laugh hysterically - sometimes you may even hear me laughing as I pick up your phone call - it is seriously that funny.

When you read the blog - leave a comment!  I spend time on that thing so you guys can read up and post a comment.  If there is a good one, I pass it along to the guys and they may even read it!

Hope the problems with the Podcast are over with! I try and get it up about 20 mins after the show is over so you guys can listen to it right away! Subscribe/download/get after it!

I'm tired - But it's worth it!

Posted 7/17/2009 6:58:00 PM
This week I started as the call screen for the Woody and Rizzuto show here on the Point.  Getting here at 4:30AM every morning is a bit of a shock - but damnit it's worth it!

So - when you call the guys in the morning - I'm the one who answers your phone call.  You be nice to me - I'll be nice to you.  You be a douche to me - I'll be nice to you. (Hey, I love my job, I'm not gonna let you bring me down)

Also - when you read the Woody & Rizzuto Blah, Blah, Blog - I'm the guy who posts everything and keeps you up to date on the show.  Leave a comment, leave a question, or tell the guys what you think of the show - it might even make it to the air.

Thoughts on the Derby?

Posted 7/13/2009 5:26:00 AM
The homerun derby takes place tonight @ Busch Stadium and personally I think more people care about this then they do the actual All-Star game.

I can remember the days I would sit in front of the TV and bet my buddies that Ken Griffey would hit out more dingers then Frank Thomas and then Mike Piazza would out blast them all.

Now, all three players are somehow involved in the league but it would be a miracle if they could get the ball out of the infield.

Personally it would be nice to see Albert take this one, but with the game at Busch and the ease of lefties hitting it out of the park I'd have to give it to Prince Fielder.  But, Ryan Howard may have some extra motiviation because of his hometown tie in...

There is a highschool kid from Las Vegas ...

Mike Shannon: Master Dialect!

Posted 6/29/2009 11:44:00 AM
Here is some of gems from Cardinals great announcer Mr. Mike Shannon!  I'm sure you've seen these before..but I love it!  I've put my personal favorite in BOLD!

"Swing and a homerun, but it's foul"

“A hit up the middle right now would be like a nice ham sandwich and a cold, frosty one."

"It's raining like a Chinese fire drill!"

"Our next home stand follows this road trip."

‘‘You can't argue with the weather.''

“The Ozarks are a beautiful place this time of year, with all the animals scurrying around, trying to add to their heritage......”

“The wind has switched 360 degrees”

"Well, folks, this game began as a tiny worm and is blossoming into a large cobra."

(Broadcasting from New York under a full moon) "I wish you folks back in St. Louis could see this moon."

(On the day before Easter) "I just want to tell ...
